Meet Kaity Stone, LCSW, MA

An Overview

Hi! I’m Kaity Stone (she/her) and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Texas with Master’s degrees in both Social Work and Clinical Psychology. I have a private practice in Fort Worth and I work with clients both in-person and virtually, as needed. I am an affirmative therapist who is inclusive and supportive of everyone who enters my door. I believe that in order to understand and help someone that you must also understand a person’s culture, environment, and family. We bring our history with us and together, we will work to write the best version of your life.

I have an adventurous spirit and loves nature, a good book, and delicious dessert.

Professional Experience

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I am proud and honored to say that my mission of living a life of service has continued throughout my entire professional career. I have worked with pregnant and parenting students to help them succeed and graduate high school, supported and cared for thousands of students, families, and staff in the public school system, supported young adults aging out of the foster care system, and worked with women and children who were homeless in the Tarrant County area. I have stood in front of hundreds of people to discuss, train, and teach about the importance of self-care, gratitude, mindfulness, and kindness.

I have put myself on the frontlines of direct care since my undergraduate days in the early 2000’s. 20 years later, I am still putting myself on the frontlines to help those most in need. I will continue to be a presence within my community and will be a voice of support and healing to those in the LGBTQIA+ community. I spent 9 highly successful years working in the public schools and I did not take lightly the decision to leave the school district. My latest venture in the therapeutic world is Open-Minded Counseling, which is specifically focused on providing affirmative, safe, and inclusive therapeutic services for the LGBTQIA+ population throughout the state of Texas. I have always been proud and honored to work within the helping capacity and this current journey will be no different.

Life is meant to be lived.

Start living your best life now.
